The ponds are typically 4 to up to 15m high with excavation ranging between 2 to up to 8m. This particular reservoir is located in the Seddon region of Marlborough. The embankment is up to 6m high with a storage capacity of 150.000m3. The pond was constructed and commissioned in 2019 for the purpose of irrigating vineyards.

Wallap is a program for analysing the stability and displacement of retaining wall. EGL utilise the computer program to provide safe and economic design of retaining walls for temporary deep excavation, construction of basement and protection from cliff regression.

FSconsol is a slurry consolidation program which models the rate and magnitude of consolidation of soil slurries such as mine tailings, landfills, and other soft soils. EGL is experienced in modelling of complex mine tailings pond scenario with varying filling rates, changing pond areas and changing soil properties to provide the best-estimated storage of the facility.
Advanced Geotechnical Analysis 2
FLAC 2D is a numerical modelling software based on a finite-difference approach. It can be used for the advanced geotechnical analysis of soil, rock and groundwater. EGL has expertise in using FLAC for advanced analysis such as non-linear creep analysis, liquefaction and cyclic softening and advanced dynamic modelling to assess the seismic performance of earthfill embankments, foundations, retaining wall and excavation supports with unconventional design.

DEEPSOIL is a unified 1D equivalent linear and nonlinear site response analysis program. EGL utilises this computer software to model the seismic response of sites with complicated ground conditions.
3-Residential
A site inspection of the placement of hardfill. We test the hardfill to confirm that the fill has been compacted to an acceptable engineering standard and certify the compaction of the hardfill.
