EGL has undertaken site investigation, design and construction monitoring of a number of turkey-nest type HDPE-lined water storage ponds in throughout New Zealand. The ponds are typically 4 to up to 15m high with excavation ranging between 2 to up to 8m. This particular reservoir is located in the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. The embankment is up to 5m high with a storage capacity of 26,000m3. The pond was constructed and commissioned in 2018 for the purpose of irrigating vineyards.
