Rambod has been a Director of EGL since 2014. Rambod has a BSc (Engineering Geology) from the Azad University (Iran) and MEngST (Civil Engineering) from the University of Auckland. Rambod is a Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand and Engineers Australia (CPEng) and a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).

He has over 25 years professional experience in geotechnical investigation, design and construction of foundations, retaining walls, ground stabilisation, slope and embankment design and earthworks for domestic, commercial and industrial developments.

Rambod specialises in design and construction monitoring and certification of water storage embankment dams and tailings storage facilities as well as dam safety engineering. He has acted as Engineer to the contract for several dam projects. Rambod also provides expert evidence in sensitive projects and has published several technical papers in the field of dam engineering. His experience is here in New Zealand and several other overseas countries, including Australia, Mongolia, Iran and Turkey.

When away from the office, Rambod and his wife enjoy working on their small farm which is home to sheep, chickens and beehives as well.
