Stephen has a MSc in Geology from The University of Auckland. His master’s thesis involved investigating deep seated deformation within the Ruahine Ranges, located in the central North Island of New Zealand. He also has a BSc in Geology and Mathematics.

Prior to studying, Stephen had experience working in surveying and the construction industry.

While not at work, Stephen enjoys a variety of creative hobbies such as improvisational theatre and writing music.
